Sunshine In Spring – A Colorful Collaboration
I was excited to have the opportunity to get creative with Crystal of Crystal’z Colorz! We rallied together with a smashing palette and Spring theme and and I found myself going a bit overboard but I simply couldn’t stop. I love working with other designers. I especially love working with someone who’s style is a little like mine and yet a little different. I admit there is a childlike anticipation when I get the preview and first see the partners my own elements and papers will be combined with. Crystal and I did a little interview and I was surprised by some of her answers. It always amazes me to see how different my life is compared to someone I have so much in common with. I can hear my neighbors now – did you see the forecast? I hear sun is coming, this weekend maybe. It’s supposed to be lovely out. I always have to laugh a little to myself – of course the sun is coming! The sun always comes eventually. But after a long and dreary winter and days filled with rain and thunder, the promise of sunshine is simply too invigorating to ignore. My new collab with Crystal’z Colorz of Scrappity Do Dah, Sunshine In Spring was designed with this palpable excitement in mind. Bold splashes of orange, yellow canaries, and dancing butterflies, thunderous interludes of dark, this kit will help you to capture that indomitable spirit of spring and the promise of sunny things to come.

1. When did you start Designing? 2008
2. How did you choose your Design name?
I had my CT help me to brain storm then came up with Crystal’z Colorz after all of the suggestions because color inspires me.
3. Where do you live? Rochester, Minnesota, USA
4. Tell us about your family i.e., hubby, kids, etc.?
I am a single mother with a fine young man, Mike, who just turned 18 in April.
5. Do you have a ‘real’ job besides designing?
I work full time at a local McDonald, I work evenings and Saturdays at a General Motors Car dealership. I am a full time college student in I.T., Information Technology, for computer work in the evenings as well. … I am busy busy!
6. What is your favourite hobby besides Digi Scrapping?
Reading, because I need an escape and a little downtime. I read romance, passion, historical romance, mystery and Sci-fi. I also go to the gym several times a week. I also love to make recipes and scrap them.
7. What is one of your pet peeves?
When driving, when people cross over in front of you to pass then turn off in front of you.
8. If you could travel anywhere where would you go?
Everywhere in Europe especially England, Sweden and Germany. Also Hawaii and the Caribbean Islands.
9. Tell us something about you that no one knows.
I have a really good memory. I can remember most things pretty vividly. I remember when I was a few months old and in a crib.
