Hands up all of you who remember that fabulous Noel Coward Classic ‘Brief Encounter’….. Yeah, me too and it still remains one of my all-time favourite oldies.
There is something so perfectly romantic about old train stations, station cafes, the sound of trains, especially steam, old battered suitcases, the chink of teaspoon against china and so on. As a young woman I spent far more time then I should have sitting at my local train station watching trains pull in and out, people watching, wondering if perhaps one day that special person might appear on the platform just for me, lol. Of course, it didn’t happen that way for me in the end but all the same, the romance made it all so delicious at the time and it’s still a sweet memory for me now.
Do you have memories like this? Did you dream of tall dark wonderful strangers whisking you away to a life of love, romance and happy ever afters when you were younger? I’d love to hear your stories. Perhaps my latest collection ‘Brief Encounters’ will help you relive those moments and share those dreams with us through your layouts? It doesn’t have to be old train stations either. Whatever floated your boat back in the day? Tell us your story; we’d love to hear it.
Here is my take on that wonderful old classic and the many happy moments of dreamy romance it gave me. I hope you’ll enjoy it too.

Creating Custom Shadows in Photoshop Elements
Yes! That’s right, you CAN create custom drop shadows in PSE! No warp tool required! This is a handy little trick that I picked up about 4 years ago and I use it ALL the time! PSE’s drop shadow layer styles leave a bit to be desired, and if you’re like me, then you want to have the flexibility & control to make your drop shadows look a bit more “real” and have the ability to “lift” those elements off of the page the way you want them too! ….
