That title looks like alphabet soup. Even before texting was such a big hit and caused us to adulterate the language our parents tried so hard to teach us, there were acronyms.
Acronym : a word (as NATO, radar, or laser) formed from the initial letter or letters of each of the successive parts or major parts of a compound term; also : an abbreviation (as FBI) formed from initial letters.
In case you’re new to the world of digital scrapbooking and the crazy jumble of acronyms, here’s a bit of help.

Love a Great Story?
Do you enjoy reading those little snippets of tales that truly tug at your heart strings? Stories definitely help us feel “connected” to people. I have friends all around the globe because of my love for scrapbooking. Every time something happens in their life, I feel as if I’m part of it. Whether it’s a funeral, first day of school for their child or perhaps the birth of their first grandchild.
If you’re a subscriber to theStudio Newsletter then you already know that Toiny (the owner) has just been blessed with her first grand child.
From the Studio Newsletter Today
Last week, in a land far, far away, my first grandchild was born! I am an Oma. I am bowled over & flabbergasted that 18-yr-old me is a grandmother. How the heck does time fly so fast?
Elbert “Bert” and his mommy Molly are doing great and already home & starting to settle in. Did I mention that home is far, far, away? Being stationed in Germany does have it downside and this is a very big one. New Mexico, small town New Mexico at that, takes a long time, lots of travel, and lots of money to get to. For now I have to satisfy myself with adorable, heart-meltingly cute photo’s. I am working on setting Molly up with a better camera & Skype. There is so little babies need at first except being held and loved. It is killing me that I can’t hold and love, but over Skype I can at least ooh & aaah. Not that I have any doubts little Bert is being held and loved. Look at him. How can you not hold and love that little peanut?
This is the first photo I have of Nicholas & Bert. I can’t stop staring at it.
He’s a beautiful little fellow and we want to wish them all health, wealth and happiness.
Some people are truly great story tellers and believe me, Toiny is at the top of her game. I rush to my inbox every Wednesday and Saturday to see what is going on with her. You’ll almost always find some wonderful story at the bottom of both editions. Truth is, I always scroll to the bottom and read the story first, then I browse the new releases and sale ads from the Studio Designers.
Scrapbooking is all about story telling. Some people tell most of the story with pictures and that’s fantastic, but don’t forget to add some journaling to your books and pages. If journaling doesn’t come easy for you, then you might want to start slow. When you read a story that motivates you, tickles your funny bone or evokes an inner emotion, try saving it for inspiration.
Participating in a challenge is a great way to build your scrapbooking skills (which includes effective story telling).
I found this page by the51mom in the Gallery. I Love the story on this page. Not only does it show a great photo but her memories are stored here as well. Of course, I love this kit too. She used In
The Country by Boo.
So the question is….do you like journaling or is it a challenge for you? Are there any tips you might have that you could share for the readers who struggle with journaling? If so, please share. We’re all in the same game and would love some quick solutions.
I’ll see you on Saturday with that new release and who knows what else?
Rebecca, Boo and the Amazing Blossoms!
